Numinbah Escape is the restoration of a remarkable 120-hectare property in the Numinbah Valley, bordering the World Heritage-listed Springbrook National Park in the Gold Coast hinterland. Formerly a working cattle property, banana plantation and basalt quarry, the site is being rehabilitated as a low-impact ecotourism destination, with immersive experiences and luxury accommodation. The development has been approved by the City of Gold Coast and Queensland Government.

The project will establish a world-class nature-based adventure destination anchored by Australia’s largest multi-span zipline tour, complemented by a guided abseil tour descending into the historic quarry and all-inclusive buggy and guided walking tours that immerse visitors in the rainforest and valley landscape.

The land
Cattle, then bananas, then basalt. Now restoration.
This ground has been worked for a long time — run as a cattle property, planted out as a banana plantation, and cut for basalt. What happens next is restoration: 120 hectares rehabilitated as a low-impact ecotourism destination, with the quarry that was taken out of the hillside turned into the place the zipline departs and the abseil descends.
